Along the Chattahoochee lawn outside Canoe, a green safflower and sunflower tray hangs beneath the garden oaks. Nigel Birdberry, a vivid male northern cardinal, keeps daily post on the rim beside Lady Birdberry, eastern towhees, brown thrashers, mourning doves, Carolina wrens, goldfinches, and house finches.
